Shine Bright Like A Diamond!

After months of preparation, not to mention several "Great British Bake Offs" to make the table centrepieces, the members of Long Eaton Ladies Circle donned Tinsel and Tiaras for their annual Christmas Ball.

With over 200 guests the event was well supported from across the region as well as around the rest of the UK.  Special guests included the current Round Table National President, Jason Thomson, Ladies Circle National Vice President, Ruth Curry as well as the Immediste Past President Vicky Perry and several past National Officers.  Both organisations' Area Chairmen were also in attendance for what turned out to be a magical and successful evening.

Long Eaton Ladies Circle Chairman, Jane Smith, stole the show with her specially designed Ladies Circle tiara as she welcomed everyone to the Ball.

The "paparazzi" were also in evidence in the guise of a photographer from Nottinghamshire Life, snapping guests as they arrived for the champagne reception.

An evening of fun followed with guests enjoying the hospitality of the East Midlands Conference Centre.  As well as enjoying the party there were several opportunities to donate to local charities in the form of an auction, a raffle and the famous Long Eaton Ladies Circle Tombola.  In total the Ball raised £5000, some of which was donated to the Attenborough Cricket Club's inclusion project.

After all the formalities were out of the way it was time to party and Long Eaton Ladies Circle showed why their Ball has continued to be a success year after year.  The hard work and attention to detail ensured that everyone had a fabulous evening, dancing into the wee small hours to the amazing live band.

What better way to kick of the Christmas season?
