Rothwell Circle 44th AGM
We had a brilliant AGM last night at Salute. One of the best parts was meeting the people we handed cheques to such as the people that run a a Tea Cosy Memory Cafe in Rothwell, supporting people with Dementia, nurses that support young people with illnesses such as Chron's, Sarah who is raising money for a little girl called Kendal who has Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and meeting Theo who suffers from Mowat Wilson syndrome.
This year we have donated nearly £3000 to various good causes such as The Miscarriage Association, The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, The British Heart Foundation, The Poppy Appeal but also supported our community by paying for Santa to fly into Rothwell Park as Christmas, shopping, packing and wrapping hampers for the elderley and also donating and helping out at luncheons for the elderly in Rothwell.
It's been a brilliant end to our Circle year and we look forward to the future with our new Chair, Sharon!
