Lichfield Ladies Circle raise 500 for South Staffordshire CRUSE Bereavement Care

Lichfield Ladies Circle had the pleasure of donating £500 to Fiona Gillespie and Pauline Hinsley on behalf of the South Staffordshire branch of CRUSE Bereavement Care. The chairty offers support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies through face-to-face, telephone, email and website support. Alongside the local services, there is a a national helpline, a website and a freephone helpline specifically for children and young people. The confidential and free service provided by the South Staffordshire branch is due to 49 trained volunteers who in 2012 supported 125 clients. 'This generous donation will allow our branch to purchase books and train more of our volunteers in the support of children who have sadly been bereved' commented Fiona, Chair of Fundraising. The ladies have worked hard to raise this money and we are extremely pleased that they have chosen to support our charity.
