Lichfield Ladies 'RACE' their way to raising 1,266 pounds
Lichfield Ladies Circle held a fantastic fund-raising 'Race night' in June which raised £1266 for Rocklands School, Lichfield. More than 60 race goers enjoyed the themed night which included betting on fictitious horse and pig races, a race themed raffle, an auction of a fancy dress horse and a fish & chip supper. Rocklands school is a happy, caring environment that places an emphasis on stimulating learning with the needs of children at the centre of their teaching and heart of everything they do. Ashley Hall, chair of the school ASPF commented that 'this money will go a long way to developing the sensory room at the school. After many years of constant use, it is now outdated and much of the specialist equipment is in need of repair. This money will go a long way to enabling the pupils to make progress in a way that would be difficult to achieve without access to such a stimulating environment and specialist interactive equipment.'
