Lichfield Ladies join forces in a hectic but very rewarding week.

For many years the Lichfield Ladies Circle have been supporting local charities through fundraising and volunteering their encouragement at events, however this May/June saw a whole new dimension of their support in numbers as the Circle group offered their assistance with a twist! The Lichfield Ladies Circle joined forces working alongside other local groups, to add strength in numbers to support some outstanding and epic community events.

Ladies Lichfield Circle teamed up with local groups, Tangles, Lichfield Round Table and Spires 41 club to enhance the numbers offered to support some very noble events and all within the space of a week.

Monday the 26th of May saw the combined effort of the 4 community groups in marshalling at the Lichfield Bower Parade, this was a great achievement and Lichfield Ladies were rewarded with been part of a very successful day!

On Thursday the 5th of June the community groups worked with local police and the community during the Vigil of Stephen Suttons funeral through stewarding in the chosen colour yellow, this was whilst celebrating the life of a gentleman that touched and won the hearts of many of the local groups and nation many of whom who had worked with him in his plight.

On Sunday the 1st of June, the Lichfield Ladies Circle supported the Lichfield Round Table event at the summer gathering of the 3 Spires Scooterist group, this event was held through a BBQ, Disco, raffle and stall sales in a fundraising pledge to raise money for the Lichfield Round Table group.

These Side by Side projects symbolised the foundations and beliefs of which 4 groups co-exist on, providing fun and friendship whilst fundraising and supporting the local community.

Sue Kershaw, Char of Lichfield Ladies Circle commented on the busy week saying “Lichfield Ladies Circle have had a very great week working side by side with the Lichfield Round Table  Ladies Tangles and Spires 41.  Thanks to everyone who has volunteered their time and energy to put something back into our great community.
