Ladies Circles Gift of Toys for 2nd Dereham Scout Group

Dereham and District Ladies Circle are well known for their fundraising activities and support within their local community. On Friday 24th October, 2nd Dereham Scout Group were the latest to benefit, with nearly £100 worth of toys donated for the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to play with.

Skateboards, baskets, plastic footballs, skipping ropes, stopwatches, tennis balls, craft items, and foam footballs which are ideal for indoor play, were all gratefully received and the Ladies Circle were invited to join in a game of “Human Hungry Hippos” to demonstrate how much fun the children of all different ages are enjoying playing with the new toys.

Allison Burrell, immediate past chairman, said “During my year as chair for Dereham and District Ladies Circle I chose to support local children’s charities and community groups and 2nd Dereham Scout Group were an obvious choice.”

“Seeing the children and young adults all enjoying the team games is very heart-warming and we’re very pleased to be able to give something back to our local community.”
