What Hinckley Have Done So Far

Wow, what can I say, just taking over as Hinckley Ladies Circle Chair officially on the 12th of May and what a busy month it has been so far!

Firstly, let me Introduce myself, I am Jane moved to Hinckley from Ireland and joined circle in 2018!

On the 12th of May this year we had our “Handover” where I took over as chair from the wonderful Gemma. It was a wonderful evening with our members and we were also joined by very own Hinckley member Stacey as Past Area 20 Chair along with Louise the new incoming Area 20 chair.

On Monday 23rd of May Some of our ladies got together and I invited Ella from Loughborough Dogs Trust down to Hinckley to talk about the wonderful work that the charity does and where the donations go to within the UK and Ireland.

About Dogs Trust

Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust (formerly the National Canine Defence League) is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK.

Our mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.

Each year we care for around 16,000 dogs at our nationwide network of 20 rehoming centres. No healthy dog is ever destroyed.

We heard some wonderful stories but we also learned and heard the sad story’s behind puppy smuggling.

We are now looking forward to doing a tour of Dogs Trust and hopefully talking some of the dogs for a walk.

Some of our and I members have signed to do the Peak District challenge on the 9th of July which I have also signed up for and raising funds for dog’s trust which has already raised over £500 and growing!!!!

If you wish to donate, please do these animals need our help https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Jane-Moore25.

On the 2nd June We helped and supported our men & family in Hinckley Roundtable 129 Table who worked in conjunction with Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council to present Proms in the Park.

It was a evening full of entertainment, lovely weather and fantastic music.

We helped raise over £1850 which will be distributed among local good causes!!

Yep so all the above in a month!!

It’s all Happening here in Hinckley Ladies Circle 71!
